GERMAN BREAKFAST

Radish variety "German Breakfast" is an early-maturing and high-yielding variety with cylindrical roots measuring 4-5 cm in length and weighing between 20 to 35 grams. The roots have a bright-red color with a white tip, a smooth and even surface. The flesh is white, firm, and juicy, with a delicate and pleasant taste, making this variety especially popular for fresh consumption. The interior of the root is white and very tender, highlighting its high taste qualities.

The variety "German Breakfast" is characterized by an ultra-early maturity period: the period from seedling emergence to technical maturity is 18 to 28 days. Thanks to this, radishes can be grown in several cycles with an interval of 7-15 days, allowing for a conveyor harvest in the spring. To accelerate maturation, it is recommended to cover the soil with film or agrofabric after sowing. Radish is moisture-loving and requires regular watering in small amounts every 4-5 days. Seeds are sown in furrows 2-3 cm deep, with a distance between plants of 3-15 cm and rows of about 20 cm. The sowing rate is 1-2 grams per square meter.

The crop is quite cold-hardy, capable of withstanding brief frosts down to -5°C without damage to the harvest. Radish grows well on soils enriched with organic matter, except for plots where cabbage was previously grown. To maintain plant health, it is recommended to regularly loosen the soil and remove weeds. Thanks to its characteristics and ease of cultivation, the variety "German Breakfast" is an excellent choice for early spring and autumn sowing in open and protected ground.
