Jolly

Jolly radish is a mid-early French variety developed by Clause, ready for harvest 30-35 days after sowing. This variety is highly resistant to adverse conditions such as drought, cold, and is not susceptible to bolting, powdery mildew, or white rot. Due to its all-season adaptability, Jolly radish successfully grows even under insufficient lighting, making it suitable for greenhouse cultivation from February and open ground under cover from April, as well as in late autumn-winter and early spring periods.

Jolly radish roots have a round shape, bright red color, and a diameter of 3-5 cm, weighing approximately 20-30 grams. They feature a smooth and even surface with small tails and dense white flesh inside. The fruits do not form cavities or fibers, do not crack, and do not overgrow, ensuring their attractive market appearance. After harvest, Jolly radish retains its elasticity, juiciness, and crisp texture for a long time, making it ideal for fresh consumption.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow 300-500 seeds per square meter, along with regular watering and mineral fertilization, which promotes intensive fruit mass accumulation. Jolly radish has excellent taste qualities — it does not taste bitter, has a dense and crisp texture, making it popular in fresh markets. The seeds are suitable for re-sowing, further increasing the economic efficiency of growing this variety.
