BEARLET

The Raspberry 'Bearlet' variety is a medium-sized, compact bush with a height up to 130 cm and a slightly open form. The canes are straight, flexible, and covered with velvety bark with a light fuzz, which prevents them from breaking under the weight of the berries. Unlike many other varieties, 'Bearlet' has no thorns, and the buds are located close to each other. This variety is not remontant (fruiting more than once a year); fruits form on two-year-old canes, and the fruiting season lasts several weeks, starting from the end of July, which depends on the climatic conditions of the region. 'Bearlet' berries are large, round-conical in shape, light red in color, weighing about 5-7 grams. The fruits are juicy, with a sweet and sour taste and a raspberry aroma, have firm flesh, which ensures good shelf life and transportability. Thanks to these qualities, raspberry is excellent for fresh consumption as well as for processing - jams and freezing. The drupelets of the berries do not crumble, which additionally increases their attractiveness for commercial cultivation. The 'Bearlet' variety is distinguished by high yield - with proper care, up to 3.2-4 kg of berries can be collected from a bush, and the yield per hectare reaches 178 centners. It is resistant to main fungal diseases, such as anthracnose and gray mold, as well as to spider mites and gall midges. The raspberry is frost-resistant and capable of withstanding temperatures down to -35 degrees Celsius, which makes it ideal for cultivation in cold regions of Russia, including Siberia. The plant quickly adapts to various climatic and soil conditions, preferring sunny places with fertile loam or loamy sandy soil.
