BODRUM

The Bodrum rice variety is a medium-maturing Oryza sativa L. variety recommended for cultivation in the Krasnodar Krai and the North Caucasus region. This variety belongs to the italica group and is characterized by weak pubescence on the penultimate leaf blade, absence of anthocyanin pigmentation in the awns, medium stem and panicle length, and strong curvature of the main axis. The grain is broken, medium-sized, semi-circular or semi-crescent-shaped, which gives it an attractive appearance and ease of processing.

The Bodrum variety has a sufficiently high yield: average indicators reach 79.2 centners per hectare in the North Caucasus region and 85.3 centners per hectare in Krasnodar Krai, which corresponds to the standard level of the 'Flagman' variety. The maximum yield recorded in Krasnodar Krai was 101.2 centners per hectare. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield preservation and reduced losses during harvesting.

The technological and culinary qualities of the Bodrum variety are assessed as good, making it a valuable quality product. The weight of 1000 grains ranges from 27 to 35 grams. According to the applicant, the variety has medium resistance to pyricularia, and under field conditions when grown after perennial grasses, medium infection levels are observed. All these characteristics make the Bodrum variety attractive for agricultural production and further use in the food industry.
