Description

The winter wheat hybrid KWS Rhavo is a high-yielding variety adapted for cultivation in various climatic and soil conditions, including the Central, North-Western, Volga-Vyatka, and Chernozem regions. It exhibits high ecological plasticity and can successfully grow under moderate drought and on light, nutrient-poor soils. Due to its adaptability and plasticity, Rhavo is ideal for areas with unstable weather and climatic conditions, making it a versatile choice for farmers operating in challenging ecological zones.

The variety is characterized by a high yield potential, reaching up to 120 c/ha, which exceeds average winter wheat yields by 20-35%. Plants have a height ranging from 88 to 146 cm, a vegetation period of 275 to 337 days, and a slow growth rate, promoting stable growth and high-quality yield formation. Rhavo features high tillering intensity and lodging resistance, ensuring stability and reliability in cultivation. The 1000-grain weight varies from 28 to 38 grams, and the crude protein content in grain is 9-10%, making it valuable for both grain and feed purposes.

A key feature of the hybrid is the PollenPlus technology, which enhances pollen production and improves wheat resistance to powdery mildew and other diseases, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The low content of anti-nutritional components in the grain makes Rhavo one of the best feeds for agricultural animals. Recommended seeding rates depend on cultivation objectives: for optimal sowing — 2.0-2.2 million/ha, for late sowing — 2.2-2.5 million/ha, and for silage use — 2.7-3.0 million/ha. Seed depth is 2-3 cm, providing optimal conditions for germination and plant development.
