TULUN GREEN-GRAIN WINTER RYE

Tulun Green-Grain winter rye is a mid-early or late-maturing grain variety intended for cultivation in regions with severe climatic conditions, such as the Irkutsk region, Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Republic of Buryatia, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the Republic of Tyva, and the Republic of Khakasia. This variety was developed and recommended by scientific institutions, including the Siberian Federal Research Center for Agrobiotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Irkutsk Research Institute of Agriculture.

Tulun Green-Grain is distinguished by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, making it a reliable choice for regions with cold winters. The variety is also drought-resistant and lodging-resistant, contributing to a stable yield. Plants reach a height of 91 to 115 cm, and the weight of 1000 grains varies within 23-33 grams. The average yield in recommended regions is about 17.1 centners per hectare.

Additionally, this variety has moderate resistance to root rot and ergot, as well as high resistance to wheat head and leaf septoria, which reduces disease risks and improves crop quality.
