KWS NEMESIS

KWS NEMESIS is a mid-season sorghum-sudangrass hybrid intended for grain production. It is characterized by high yield due to a prolonged grain filling period and resistance to major sorghum diseases. The plant is of medium height with a semi-open panicle measuring 28-30 cm in length and red-brown elliptical grain. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 30-36 grams, while protein content in the grain is within 12-13%. Low tannin content makes this hybrid particularly valuable for animal feed.

The KWS NEMESIS hybrid exhibits high adaptability to various growing conditions. The sum of active temperatures required for its maturation is 1800-1850°C, allowing its use in various regions. The recommended sowing time is when soil temperature reaches no lower than +14°C at a depth of 10 cm. Sowing rates vary depending on conditions: from 150,000-180,000 seeds per hectare in dry conditions to 270,000-330,000 seeds per hectare under irrigation. Average grain yield is approximately 30.7 c/ha, with maximum figures reaching 76.4 c/ha.
