Targga

Targga — a mid-early hybrid of common grain sorghum, developed in France. It is characterized by high productivity and grain quality, making it attractive for various uses, including grain, starch, and alcohol production. Plants reach a height of 110 to 135 cm, with a large, half-open panicle 32–33 cm long, located on a tall stem. Early panicle emergence contributes to efficient use of soil moisture and high yield formation even under adverse soil-climatic conditions. Targga has high plasticity and adaptability, ensuring drought, lodging, and disease resistance. Rapid early growth helps suppress weeds and supports successful plant development. Grain yield potential reaches 130 c/ha at the recommended seeding rate of 120–200 thousand seeds per hectare. The grain contains 70% starch and 14% protein, confirming high product quality. Targga seed packaging weighs 10 kg, which is convenient for agricultural enterprises of various scales.
