Soybean variety Moravia is a determinate (limited) growth type developed by the Canadian company Semences Prograin Inc. This variety is distinguished by high resistance to drought, lodging, pod cracking, and seed shattering, which ensures easy harvesting. Moravia tolerates dense plantings well and is ideally suited for fertile and fertilized soils. Recommended growing zones include Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine. Early planting date and medium maturity period make this variety suitable for various agroclimatic conditions. Plant height ranges from 85 to 115 cm, and the vegetative period is approximately 122-135 days. Moravia demonstrates high yield stability with yields ranging from 35 to 40 c/ha and potential up to 42-47 c/ha (4.3-4.5 t/ha) under favorable conditions. The thousand-seed weight is about 235 g, and the number of seeds per kilogram reaches 4255. A key feature is the high protein content (38-41%) and oil content (20.5-22%), making this variety attractive for producing products with high mineral content. High early development energy provides an advantage in early growth stages, promoting successful adaptation to various climatic conditions. Moravia exhibits enhanced resistance to several diseases, including white and gray mold, bacterial blight, and fusarium, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses.
