Description
SIBERIA 20 is an early-maturing soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) variety with high productivity and a set of valuable agronomic characteristics. The plant is indeterminate, of low to medium height (60-120 cm), with violet flowers and green seeds with a light-brown hilum. The hypocotyl is colored in anthocyanin, while the main stem has a reddish-brown pubescence. The leaflet of the complex leaf is lanceolate-obovate. The time of flowering is very early, which ensures the variety's quick maturity and allows for a harvest in a short time.
The variety is characterized by increased oil content in seeds (about 18%) and high protein content, which varies depending on the growing region: from 33.27% in the Central region to 39.20% in the East Siberian region. Yield also depends on regional conditions and can reach 35 c/ha and above, with maximum figures exceeding 50 c/ha recorded in the Tula region. The height of attachment of the lower pods is about 13.6 cm, which reduces losses during harvesting and improves the quality of the harvest collection.
SIBERIA 20 is drought-resistant and resistant to a number of diseases, including bacterial blight, Fusarium, Ascochyta, and gray mold, making it a reliable choice for various agro-climatic zones. The variety is recommended for cultivation in several regions of Russia, including the Central, Volga-Vyatsk, Middle Volga, Ural, West Siberia, and East Siberia. Seed packaging is done in 50 kg bags, which is convenient for storage and transportation.
