The Skelya variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is a choice for agronomists who prioritize technical efficiency and predictable results. When working with this variety, its manageability in the field comes to the fore.

Harvesting efficiency and technical parameters

The plant height reaches 120-130 cm, which requires careful selection of the combine and header settings. A key factor is the height of the lower pod attachment (16-18 cm). This indicator minimizes harvesting losses, as the bulk of the pods are located above the standard cutting level of a grain header. With correct reel adjustment and sharp blades, losses are virtually zero, which is critical for profitability.

Agronomic indicators

• The 110-120 day growing season makes this a mid-maturing variety, allowing for flexible harvest scheduling based on regional climate conditions.
• Grain quality indicators: oil content 22-23%, protein content 39-41%. These are stable figures that often qualify for premiums when delivering the harvest to elevators.

From an agro-management perspective, the variety does not require extraordinary approaches. With standard agronomic practices, the soybean shows an even stand without a tendency to lodge, which significantly facilitates equipment transit through the field. Uniform ripening allows for desiccation at optimal times if weather conditions do not support natural drying.
