VEZELICA

Soybean variety Vezelica is a mid-early indeterminate variety intended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth and Middle Volga regions. The plant is of medium height with purple flowers and grey pubescence on the main stem. Seeds are yellow-green with a grey hilum, possessing high mass — from 124.9 to 136.9 grams per 1000 seeds depending on the cultivation region. The vegetative period is about 108-111 days, allowing for an early harvest.

The Vezelica variety is distinguished by high protein and fat content in seeds: protein varies from 30.20% to 34.60%, and oil content from 21.96% to 23.40%. Yield in the Central Black Earth region reaches 25.5 c/ha, and in the Middle Volga region — 17.4 c/ha, while potential yield can reach 36-42 c/ha under optimal conditions and with a high agronomic base.

For sowing, a recommended sowing rate of 600-700 thousand seeds per hectare is advised for row sowing and 500-600 thousand for wide-row sowing. Seeds are packaged in big-bags of 1 ton, which is convenient for storage and transportation.
