Vestochka

Soya Vestochnka is a medium-early, high-yielding variety intended for grain production in main crops. Plants are of a determinate growth type, medium-tall, with an erect growth habit and a height of about 110-125 cm. Seeds are of medium size, elongated and flattened, yellow in color with a yellow hilum. High attachment of the lower pod (14.0-16.1 cm) helps reduce harvest losses during harvesting, which is especially important for ensuring the profitability of production.

The variety is distinguished by its resistance to lodging, pod splitting, and major soya diseases, confirmed by a high disease and pest resistance rating (9 out of 9). Under conditions of the North Caucasus region, Vestochnka demonstrates stable yield, with an average indicator of 17.7 c/ha, while maximum yield reached 35.0 c/ha. Protein content in seeds varies from 36.0% to 42%, and fat content is about 22-24.3%, making the variety attractive for oilseed production.

Soya Vestochnka is adapted to arid conditions and capable of forming profitable yields even in unfavorable years. In the Krasnodar region, the variety matures in the first or third decade of September, which allows for effective planning of harvesting operations. Ecological assessment of the variety confirms its homeostasis, stress resistance, and genetic flexibility, making Vestochnka a valuable breeding achievement for the North Caucasus region.
