Description
The fruits of tomato Akdeniz have a flat-round shape with slight ribbing, bright red color, and average weight of 140 to 160 grams. They are distinguished by the absence of spots and attractive appearance, making them popular for fresh market sales. The flowers are simple, containing 7-8 fruits, with a fruit stem without joint, allowing for bunch harvesting and packaging. The fruits do not drop off, significantly simplifying harvest and improving product quality.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, verticillium, fusarium, and powdery mildew, as well as tobacco mosaic virus and gall nematode. This ensures stable yield and reduces the need for intensive chemical protection. Yield per plant reaches 6.5-7.0 kg, making tomato Akdeniz an excellent choice for extended crop rotation and light culture in industrial scale.
