Description
The fruits of tomato ALGOL have a round shape with a pointed apex and a heart-shaped contour, weighing approximately 140-160 grams. They possess a beautiful light pinkish-red color, dense flesh, and a firm, elastic skin. A distinctive feature of this variety is the minimal trichome coverage on both vegetative parts of the plant and the fruits themselves, which does not interfere with consumption without peeling. The fruits are sweet and aromatic, making them suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and canning, including marinating.
The variety exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including cladosporiosis, verticillium wilt, tomato mosaic virus, fusarium wilt, and gall nematodes. Due to the trichome coverage, the plants are practically immune to infestations by aphids, whiteflies, and mites, reducing the need for frequent application of chemical protective agents. ALGOL is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, making it a versatile choice for various climatic conditions and cultivation methods.
