Description
The fruits are flat-round, fleshy, slightly ribbed, and multi-chambered, weighing from 250 to 600 grams, sometimes reaching up to 800 grams. In the technical ripening stage, a dark green spot is present at the stem attachment point, and upon biological ripening, they turn into a deep red or orange color. The flesh is dense, sugary, with a sugar content exceeding 4%, which gives the fruits a pronounced sweetness and aroma. The fruits contain up to 4.2 mg of beta-carotene, making them beneficial for children's and dietary nutrition.
The variety is characterized by good fruit set and resistance to several diseases of solanaceous crops. Due to its large fruit size and minimal seed content, Altay Sugar tomatoes are ideal for making fresh salads, juices, as well as for all types of canning and winter preservation. Their sweet taste and fleshy texture make this variety popular among gardeners and lovers of fresh vegetables.
