Description
Bananza is characterized by high yields—up to 8–10 kg per square meter—with a maturation period of approximately 100–110 days. The variety produces abundantly and continuously, which is an added bonus for gardeners. The fruits are versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, ketchup, tomato paste, and ideal for slicing into salads and appetizers.
Cultivation techniques include sowing seedlings in late February to early March, transplanting at the first true leaf stage, and planting in greenhouses in late April to early May. Plants are trained as single stems, with removal of suckers and lower leaves, and topping at the end of the vegetative period. Staking is essential to support plant growth. Recommended planting scheme: 40x60 cm. Fruits are harvested as they ripen, and seeds retain viability up to 10 years with proper storage.
