BROWN CANDY TOMATO

Brown Candy Tomato is a medium-late maturing variety with a fruiting period from 90 to 110 days after germination. The plant is indeterminate, strong, and can reach up to 160 cm in height, ensuring prolonged fruiting. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and in open ground, primarily in southern regions where the climate supports its full development.

The tomatoes have a plum-shaped form, medium density, and weigh between 35 to 40 grams. Their distinctive feature is a beautiful brown color with green longitudinal stripes, giving them an attractive appearance. Each cluster forms 6 to 10 or more fruits, which are exceptionally sweet and juicy. Due to these qualities, the tomatoes are recommended for fresh consumption, as well as for making salads, baking, and freezing.

Cultivation of this variety begins with sowing seedlings in early March, followed by transplanting when the first true leaf appears. Seedlings are transplanted into greenhouses in May, following a 40x60 cm spacing scheme. After planting, the plants are trained into a single stem, and all suckers are removed to promote better growth and fruiting. Additionally, the variety exhibits resistance to major tomato diseases, simplifying care and increasing yield reliability.
