CARAMELLA

Caramella is an early-maturing, determinate cherry tomato hybrid of generative type, distinguished by high yield and excellent taste qualities. Plants are compact, 80–100 cm tall, with short internodes. The first inflorescence forms above the 6th–7th leaf, and subsequent ones appear every 1–2 leaves. Bunches produce 6–8 bright red, round, uniformly shaped fruits weighing 15–20 g, possessing a rich aroma and high sugar content. Fruits have a firm skin, ensuring prolonged storage without loss of quality.

This hybrid is suitable for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and open ground with support stakes. Recommended planting density is 4 plants per square meter, with pruning to 3–4 stems. Yield reaches approximately 12 kg/m² in open ground and up to 16 kg/m² in protected conditions. Plants require pruning, including removal of suckers and lower leaves after formation of several clusters, which promotes better fruit development and increased yield.

Caramella exhibits resistance to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, verticillium wilt, fusarium, and gall nematodes. Fruits are versatile in use: they are excellent for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, drying, freezing, and salad preparation. Thanks to their sweet, dessert-like flavor and attractive appearance, these tomatoes will be a wonderful addition to festive tables and a favorite snack for both children and adults.
