Chizhik

Tomato Chik — a mid-early variety with a ripening period from 102 to 115 days, intended for seedling cultivation. The plant is low-growing, determinate, reaching 40-50 cm in height, which simplifies care and harvest. For planting, seedlings are recommended, sown at the end of March to early April, followed by pinching in the stage of 1-2 true leaves. Before transplanting into open ground, seedlings are hardened off and planted in mid-May under temporary covers or in June into open ground, maintaining a planting scheme of 50x60 cm. Care includes regular watering, feeding with complex mineral fertilizers, loosening, and hilling.

Tomato Chik fruits have a round shape, dense structure, and raspberry color. Each fruit weighs from 80 to 100 grams, making them convenient for fresh consumption and canning. The taste qualities of the fruits are excellent, confirming their versatility in cooking. The variety is characterized by high yield — from 3.5 to 5.2 kg per square meter, as well as high transportability, allowing it to retain its market appearance during transport.

Tomato Chik is resistant to diseases, reducing the need for frequent application of protective measures and contributing to eco-friendly cultivation. Due to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground as well as for processing. It is recommended for whole-fruit canning, expanding its potential use in home gardening and food industry enterprises.
