Description
Fruits of tomato DERSU are round or round-oval in shape, smooth, and red when fully ripe. The weight of a single fruit ranges from 50 to 85 grams, with an average weight of about 75-80 grams. Tomatoes have a moderate number of seeds, with the weight of 1000 seeds approximately 2.1 grams. Fruit chambers may be positioned either correctly or incorrectly, which is characteristic of this variety. Marketable fruit yield reaches 2.43 kg per square meter.
The DERSU variety is intended for salad use and whole-fruit canning, making it versatile in culinary applications. Its ultra-early ripening period — 98-103 days after germination — allows for harvest within a short timeframe. The variety was developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, as well as the Primorsky Vegetable Experimental Station of the All-Russian Research Institute for Vegetable Growing, confirming its high quality and adaptability to various climatic conditions.
