Description
The fruits of the 'Funny Gnome' tomato have an unusual elongated cylindrical shape with a pointed tip and ribbing at the base. They are smooth, dense, red, up to 12 cm long and about 100 g in weight, although individual specimens may reach 135-140 g. Inside the fruits, there are two seed chambers with minimal seed quantity and almost no juice. The flesh is meaty, dense, aromatic, and moderately juicy with a pleasant sweet-tomato flavor. Due to their dense structure and low juice content, these tomatoes are excellent for canning, whole pickling, marinating, as well as for drying and sun-drying. They are versatile in use: used fresh for salads, making purees, soups, and stuffing.
The variety is characterized by high yield — from one plant, you can harvest 1.5 to 3 kg of fruit. The plant is resistant to major diseases of solanaceous crops and, due to its early ripening, effectively avoids Phytophthora infection. It is recommended to plant bushes about 30 cm apart. The compact and decorative appearance, as well as the unusual shape and taste of the fruits, make 'Funny Gnome' an excellent choice for gardeners and tomato lovers who value early harvest and versatility in use.
