GOLDEN PEA

The 'Golden Pea' tomato variety is a medium-late indeterminate type, suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground, especially in southern regions. The plant is strong, sun-loving, with a well-developed root system, ensuring its resilience and high productivity. For bush formation, it is recommended to tie the plants to stakes and train them into one or two stems, which promotes better fruit development and easier care.

The fruits of this variety are distinguished by their attractive golden-orange color and heart-shaped form with a conical tip. They have a medium weight ranging from 200 to 500 grams, smooth surface with a slightly ribbed texture, and dense salad-type flesh. The taste of the tomatoes is very sweet and refined, with a fruity aroma; the flesh is white-yellow, granular, sometimes with pink veins, which adds additional decorative appeal to the fruits. The fruits are resistant to cracking, making them convenient for transportation and storage.

The variety is characterized by high yield and a long fruiting period, allowing you to enjoy fresh and tasty tomatoes for an extended time. It is recommended to use the fruits fresh, especially for summer salads and vegetable garnishes, where their bright color and sweet taste enhance the overall dish composition. For cultivation, seeds are sown in seedbeds in March, pricked out when the first true leaf appears, and transplanted into greenhouses at the beginning of May according to a 40x60 cm scheme. Seeds retain viability for up to 10 years under proper storage conditions, though after expiration, it is advisable to increase the sowing rate.
