MALTA

Tomato Malta — an early-maturing, high-yielding indeterminate hybrid, intended for cultivation in protected ground. From germination to the first harvest, it takes 90-95 days. The plant is moderately leafy with strong growth, forming its first flower cluster above the 7th-8th leaf, and subsequent clusters every two leaves. The recommended planting density is 4 plants per square meter, with optimal pruning to one or two stems.

The fruits of tomato Malta have a round-heart shape, uniform in size and form, weighing 130-150 grams each. They feature a beautiful golden-yellow color without spots at the stem attachment, a dense and juicy structure, and 3-4 chambers inside. The tomatoes are very sweet, with increased sugar and ascorbic acid content, giving them a rich flavor and high nutritional value. The fruits are versatile, suitable for fresh consumption and various culinary uses.

Hybrid Malta exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), alternaria (Asc), verticillium (Va, Vd), and fusarium (Fol). Thanks to these qualities and its high yield, reaching 21-25 kg per square meter, this variety is widely used both in agriculture and home gardening. It is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses and open ground, making it a versatile choice for various growing conditions.
