POLARNIK

The tomato variety Polarnik belongs to ultra-early and fast-maturing varieties, with a ripening period ranging from 93 to 105 days after emergence of seedlings. This variety is intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic covers, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. The plants demonstrate high cold resistance, able to withstand short-term temperature drops down to +1°C, which is especially important for regions with unstable climates. Polarnik successfully sets fruit even under adverse conditions, ensuring a stable yield.

The tomato Polarnik plants have determinate or semi-determinate growth type, compact, bushy, 30 to 40 centimeters tall, though some sources indicate they may reach up to 1 meter. The bushes are lightly branched and do not require pinching or only require moderate removal of side shoots. A significant advantage of this variety is its low maintenance requirement and ability to produce high yields with regular feeding — up to 7-9 kilograms per square meter.

The fruits of the Polarnik variety are round or flat-round, weighing 120 to 150 grams, meaty, dense, red-colored, with a pleasant sweet taste and slight tomato acidity. They ripen well and store well, do not crack during canning, making them ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for making juice, paste, sauces, tomato caviar, and other preserves. The high lycopene content in the fruits further enhances their nutritional value.
