Description
The fruits of the Red Giant tomato are large, weighing from 180 to 400 grams, sometimes exceeding 600 grams on the first truss. They have a flattened-round shape with pronounced ribbing at the stem attachment and a rich pink color when fully ripe. The flesh is low-seeded, juicy, meaty, and sweet, with a pleasant tomato flavor enhanced by fruity notes. The fruits are dense and resistant to cracking, making them versatile for use both fresh in salads and sandwiches, as well as for culinary processing.
The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 8 kg per plant, and resistance to most tomato diseases, including fusarium. Cultivation can be done either as seedlings or direct sowing; seeds should be sown at a depth of 1-1.5 cm, and seedlings transplanted at 50-60 days old. Due to its characteristics and flavor qualities, Red Giant is an excellent choice for gardeners aiming to obtain large, flavorful, and disease-resistant fruits.
