RUSSIAN MATRESHKA

Tomato 'Russian Matreshka' is a medium-early, tall variety with a maturation period of about 115–120 days. The plant reaches a height of 140–160 cm and is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses or under temporary covers. For bush formation, it is recommended to leave one main stem, which promotes better fruit development and increases yield.

The fruits are elongated, pear-shaped, and have a bright pinkish hue. The weight of one fruit ranges from 70–90 g to very large specimens weighing up to 400 g. The flesh is tender, juicy, and aromatic, melting in the mouth, making this variety especially appealing for fresh consumption. Additionally, 'Russian Matreshka' tomatoes are suitable for pickling, canning, and salad preparation.

Sowing for seedlings is recommended in March with transplanting at the stage of the first true leaf. Seedlings can be transplanted into greenhouses or under plastic covers in May, when the plants are 40–45 days old, and if the April weather is warm, transplanting can be done at the end of April. The optimal planting density is 2.8–3.0 plants per square meter. Yield per plant reaches 8–11 kg, making it a profitable and convenient variety for both home and commercial cultivation.
