Description
The fruits of the 'Siberian Surprise' tomato have an elongated-cylindrical or pepper-like shape with a slight constriction at the base, weighing 100 to 150 grams. They have a good flavor, rich red color, and attractive appearance both on the plant and in jars during canning. Due to these qualities, the variety is excellent for fresh consumption as well as for whole-fruit canning and pickling.
Growing this variety requires adherence to certain agronomic practices: seeds are sown 60-70 days before transplanting to the final location, pre-soaked and sown at a depth of about 1 cm with an optimal germination temperature of 23-25°C. Pinching is performed after the appearance of the second true leaf. When transplanting into open ground, it is recommended to plant 3-5 plants per square meter, ensuring regular watering and feeding during the growing season to achieve maximum yield. The variety is versatile and suitable for cultivation in open ground, greenhouses, and polytunnels with good lighting.
