The tomato variety 'Soviet' is a medium-ripening, tall indeterminate variety, characterized by large fruits and high yield. The plant reaches a height of 1.2 to 1.7 meters depending on growing conditions. Fruits are flat-round in shape, deep pink in color with a distinctive dark spot near the stem, weighing from 300 grams to 1.2 kilograms. The flesh is juicy, meaty, dense, and granular, with high sugar content (about 3.5%) and vitamin C (17.5 mg%), providing excellent taste qualities. The 'Soviet' variety is versatile and suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. It is resistant to diseases and heat, making it an optimal choice for various regions. Fruit ripening takes approximately 118-120 days, allowing for a stable harvest throughout the season. Yield reaches 7.9-9 kg per square meter, confirming its high productivity. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown 50-60 days before transplanting into the ground at a germination temperature of 23-25 degrees Celsius. When planting in the ground, three plants should be spaced per square meter. The variety responds well to regular watering and feeding with complex mineral fertilizers. Plants should be trained to 1-2 stems with mandatory support and pinching, which promotes the development of large, high-quality fruits.
