STRIPED ATOM

STRIPED ATOM is an early-maturing indeterminate hybrid cocktail-type tomato, distinguished by its unusual red-brown fruit color with blurred dark-green stripes. The plant is vigorous and robust, with moderate leafiness and shortened internodes. The first inflorescence forms above the 6th-7th leaf, and subsequent ones appear every 2-3 leaves. The clusters are simple and semi-compound, containing up to 20-25 evenly spaced oval fruits weighing 25-35 grams. The fruits have a rich sweet flavor with elevated sugar and lycopene content, practically no acidity, making them ideal for fresh consumption, whole-fruit canning, freezing, and drying.

The hybrid is resistant to tomato mosaic virus (ToMV), as well as drought- and heat-tolerant, allowing successful cultivation both in protected and open ground. The recommended planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter, with plants better formed into 1-2 stems for optimal growth and yield. The hybrid’s yield reaches up to 22 kg per square meter in protected ground and over 15 kg in open ground.

The fruits have a slightly ribbed, rounded shape, giving them versatility in use. The flesh is red-brown, without a spot at the stem attachment, indicating high fruit quality. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions and features uniform fruit ripening, facilitating harvest and increasing efficiency.
