Description
The fruits of tomato Vologda Grad are round, smooth or slightly ribbed, with a dense skin, ensuring excellent storage and transportability for 30-45 days without loss of quality. Fruit weight varies from 100-110 g to 290-350 g depending on growing conditions and flower cluster formation, which consists of 4-5 large tomatoes. Fruit color changes from green with a dark green spot at the stem end in technical ripeness to uniformly red in biological ripeness. The flavor is harmonious with elevated sugar content, making them ideal for fresh salads and whole-fruit canning.
The variety exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including fusarium, cladosporiosis, tobacco mosaic virus, and blossom end rot. Yield reaches 12.4 kg per square meter, with up to 5 kg of fruit per plant. Recommended planting density is 2.2-2.5 plants per square meter. Due to its characteristics, Vologda Grad is a reliable choice for gardeners and farmers seeking a stable and high-quality tomato harvest under protected ground.
