Description
The plants are indeterminate, tall, reaching a height of 1.8-2 meters. The first flower cluster forms above the 7th-8th leaf, and subsequent ones form every three leaves. The clusters are simple and loose, containing 6 to 10 fruits with high fruit set and no gaps. For maximum yield in the middle belt, it is recommended to grow Josefin in plastic greenhouses, where yield reaches 18-20 kg per square meter. In southern regions, tomatoes can be grown in open ground on trellises.
For proper plant formation, it is recommended to train the plant into a single stem, limiting growth after the 5th-6th cluster and pinching the top with two leaves left above the upper cluster. Suckers should be removed starting from 2-3 weeks after transplanting seedlings and then weekly when they reach 5-8 cm. As fruits ripen, lower leaves are gradually removed to improve ventilation and lighting. It is important to protect clusters from damage, and also to consider that during flowering, sudden temperature fluctuations may alter fruit shape.
