INAL

INAL is a high-yielding winter triticale variety, created through the breeding of wheat and rye. This hybrid cereal is characterized by high resistance to adverse conditions, including drought and frost, as well as good yield and enhanced cold hardiness. The plants are medium height, reaching up to 130 cm, with large light-red elongated grains weighing up to 55 g per 1000 grains and a bulk density of up to 722 g/l. Protein content in the grain varies from 13.3% to 16.1%, ensuring high nutritional value of the crop.

The INAL variety is intended for grain-fodder cultivation and can be used for food purposes, including baking biscuits and bread using rye technology, as well as for the production of alcohol and bioethanol. Maximum yield of the variety reaches about 100 c/ha, confirmed by test results in various regions of Russia, including Krasnodar Krai and Kabardino-Balkaria. The variety is recommended for sowing on medium agronomic backgrounds following ploughed and straw-yielding predecessors.

INAL possesses high resistance to diseases, including immunity to powdery mildew, brown and yellow rusts, powdery and solid bunt. It is moderately resistant to pyrenophorosis and moderately susceptible to fusarium of the ear and grain. The ear is fully awned, heading time is average. Despite a tendency to lodging on a high agronomic background, the variety demonstrates stable yield indicators and is adapted to various soil and climatic conditions. Since 2020, the INAL variety has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation and is protected by a patent.
