Legion

The winter triticale variety «Legion» is a hexaploid grain crop with medium-length plants reaching heights of 65 to 110 cm. The ear of the variety is white, medium length — 9.5 to 11 cm, dense and fully awned. The grain is red, medium size, elongated and well-developed, making it suitable for baking production and compound feed preparation. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, which contributes to a stable harvest and ease of harvesting.

«Legion» demonstrates good adaptation to various climatic conditions and is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Volga-Vyatka, and Ural regions, including the Tambov and Rostov regions. The average grain yield is about 67.5 centners/hectare in the Central Black Earth region and 40.7 centners/hectare in the North Caucasus. The variety has high field resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria, although it is susceptible to snow mold. Resistance to dust and solid smut, as well as to fusarium, is also noted.

Due to its biological and agrotechnological characteristics, the variety «Legion» has a productivity potential of more than 10 tons of grain per hectare, confirming its prospects for widespread cultivation.
