SELTSO

Seltsso is a spring triticale variety developed for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Northwestern, Central, and Volga-Vyatka regions. It is characterized by an intermediate heading time and a vegetative period of 86 to 103 days, making it a medium-maturing variety. Plants have medium height, and the 1000-grain mass varies from 40 to 46 grams. The grain is red in color, belongs to the erythrospermum type, has a high natural density of about 720 g/l, and contains a significant amount of crude protein - 13.6%. The Seltsso variety differs in its high resistance to main triticale diseases, including powdery mildew, yellow and stem rust, as well as loose and loose smut. In addition, it has increased drought resistance, which ensures yield stability under unfavorable conditions. The variety also demonstrates high resistance to lodging, which contributes to maintaining the quality and quantity of the crop. In terms of yield, Seltsso shows high results: the average yield over the period 2018-2020 was 51.1 c/ha, which exceeds the Dobroye standard by 5.8%. In some trials, the yield reached 74.9 c/ha at the Upper Volga Federal Agrarian Research Center and 85.4 c/ha in the Republic of Belarus. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia and is a promising choice for agrarians seeking to obtain a high and stable triticale yield.
