Field performance and fuel efficiency

The Carrier’s true power lies in its speed. Operating at 12–15 km/h is standard, and the discs don't just graze the surface—they effectively chop residue. The key is finding the right depth; push it too deep, and you will immediately feel the tractor struggling, causing fuel consumption to spike. On medium loam, once you set the disc angle correctly, the soil structure becomes ideal. If you don't use it as a plow, the diesel consumption remains within a very acceptable range for its class.

Maintenance and durability

Regarding parts, the OEM discs are an investment, but their durability is what makes them worth it. They last significantly longer than aftermarket alternatives. The bearing units are well-sealed against dust and moisture, meaning you can finish a season without the nightmare of blown hubs. The trailed models are incredibly easy to transport, and setting the depth via hydraulics is precise. If there is one thing to watch, it is the roller mounting bolts—give them a quick check after the first hundred hectares, and it will run reliably for the rest of the season.
