Garany — a medium-early, long-vining watermelon variety ripening in 85–99 days after emergence. Fruits are round and weigh from 2.5 to 3 kg. The flesh is dark pink, dense, juicy, and very sweet, ensuring high flavor quality. The variety is characterized by good transportability and versatility, including suitability for barrel pickling.
This watermelon is resistant to diseases, particularly Fusarium wilt, and tolerates drought and low temperatures well. It is a warm-loving crop requiring ample sunlight and prefers light, fertile soils. Seeds are sown at a depth of 3–5 cm with a rate of 0.2–0.3 g per square meter.
At an optimal germination temperature of 20–25 °C, seedlings emerge 5–6 days after sowing. Due to its high yield and resistance to adverse conditions, the Garany variety is a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic zones.
