Description
The fruits of the Legio watermelon have oval or block-shaped forms with smooth surfaces and rich coloring, alternating dark green and medium-green stripes. The average weight of one fruit ranges from 7 to 12 kg. The flesh is bright red, crisp, and very sweet, with a sugar content of about 13%. It is resistant to cracking and contains small seeds, making the watermelon particularly attractive for the fresh produce market.
The Legio F1 hybrid has received international recognition, particularly in 2023 when it was awarded the "Best Watermelon of the Year" in Turkey, highlighting its high quality and competitiveness. Thanks to its high yield, excellent taste, and market appearance, this watermelon is ideally suited for commercial cultivation and sale in the fresh produce market.
