The 'Sugar House' watermelon variety is an early-maturing and high-yielding variety with a ripening period from seedling to harvest of 65-70 days. Plants have medium development power, are vine-like with a main vine of medium length and deeply lobed leaves. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 50 tons per hectare, making it attractive for commercial cultivation.
The watermelon fruits have a cylindrical shape, are uniform in size, and weigh from 3 to 5 kilograms. The rind is thin, green in color with black-green prickly stripes that do not close. Seeds are small. The flesh is bright red, medium density, fibrous, juicy, and very sweet, with a pleasant musky aftertaste. Dry matter content is 10.8%, and sugars are 8.1%, which ensures a rich taste and excellent thirst-quenching.
The variety is suitable for transportation and short-term storage, allowing it to be used both for personal consumption and for market sales. Due to its taste qualities and appearance, the 'Sugar House' watermelon is an excellent choice for those who value sweet and aromatic fruits with good yield.
