Tropical Sunshine F1 watermelon is an early-maturing hybrid of yellow-fleshed seedless watermelons of the 'Shuga Baby' type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The vegetative period from planting to main harvest is 62-65 days, allowing for quick yield. The plant is vigorous with long vines and large leaves, effectively shielding the fruit from direct sunlight. The hybrid exhibits high stress tolerance and adaptability to changing weather conditions, along with strong immunity, ensuring stable productivity and no fruit drop. Tropical Sunshine watermelon fruits are round, dense, weighing about 4-5 kg. The rind is thick, dark green with dark green stripes, giving the melons an attractive appearance. The flesh is bright yellow, juicy, crisp, and sweet, with sugar content around 12-13% on the Brix scale. The absence of seeds makes the fruit especially convenient and pleasant to consume. The watermelons accumulate significant amounts of beneficial micro- and macroelements, enhancing their nutritional value. Tropical Sunshine F1 hybrid is recommended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary plastic coverings.
