Aleurotulus is a genus of insects belonging to the whitefly family (Aleyrodidae) within the order Hemiptera. These small, sap-sucking pests are closely related to other greenhouse whiteflies and are known for their ability to colonize host plants rapidly in favorable climatic conditions.

The host range of Aleurotulus includes various citrus species and numerous ornamental plants. By infesting the undersides of leaves, they create dense colonies that can cause significant physiological stress to the plants, often leading to reduced vegetative growth and decreased floral output.

The life cycle follows a hemimetabolous pattern, progressing from eggs to mobile crawlers, then to sessile nymphal stages, and finally reaching the winged adult form. The sessile stages are particularly resilient, often protected by waxy secretions that make them difficult to penetrate with contact pesticides.
