The curved lace bug (Corythucha incurvata) is an insect species belonging to the order Hemiptera and the family Tingidae. These insects are well-known for their intricate, lace-like wing structure, which acts as excellent camouflage when they are feeding on the undersides of leaves.
This species primarily attacks a variety of woody plants, showing a strong preference for members of the Rosaceae family. They are considered significant pests in both ornamental landscapes and commercial orchards, where they extract sap from foliage, leading to rapid plant stress and reduced aesthetic or agricultural value.
The life cycle of the lace bug is typical for the family, progressing through egg, five nymphal instars, and the adult stage.
