The Cabbage cluster caterpillar (Crocidolomia binotalis) is a destructive pest belonging to the Crambidae family, order Lepidoptera. This insect is recognized as a major threat to cruciferous crops, capable of causing devastating yield losses in both commercial farms and small-scale vegetable gardens across various global regions.

The pest specifically targets plants within the Brassicaceae family. Its preferred hosts include cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, mustard, and kale. By feeding on the leaves and eventually the developing heads of these crops, the larvae can render the produce completely unmarketable and cause significant stunting or mortality in younger plants.
