Systematically, this genus belongs to the order Hemiptera, family Tingidae. The morphology of the adults is characterized by a highly reticulate, lace-like structure of the pronotum and hemelytra, which is a hallmark of this family, providing the insects with excellent camouflage and adaptation to their environment.
