Description

Fascaleyrodes rara is a species of insect belonging to the family Aleyrodidae (whiteflies) within the order Hemiptera. This microscopic pest is characterized by specific puparial morphology, which necessitates professional entomological identification to distinguish it from other related whitefly species in various agricultural ecosystems.

The pest primarily infests plants of the Fabaceae family, including various forage crops and legumes. In specific geographic regions, it has also been observed on wild herbaceous plants, which serve as primary reservoirs for population buildup before the infestation spreads to cultivated fields.
