The Radiant clearwing moth (Hemaris radians) is a member of the Sphingidae family within the order Lepidoptera. This moth is distinguished by its mimicry, visually resembling a bumblebee with its translucent wing patches and fuzzy, brightly colored body, which serves as a defensive strategy against predators.

The primary host plants for this species belong to the Caprifoliaceae family, most notably honeysuckle (Lonicera).
