The Zanzibar giant snail (Lissachatina zanzibarica) is a large land snail species belonging to the Achatinidae family within the order Stylommatophora. As an invasive mollusk species, it possesses significant potential to disrupt agricultural systems, thriving in warm and humid environments where it can rapidly establish large and damaging populations.

This pest is highly polyphagous, meaning it feeds on a vast range of plant species. The primary crops at risk include various vegetables such as tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, and cucumbers.
