Litomosoides is a genus of parasitic nematodes belonging to the family Onchocercidae. The biological cycle of Litomosoides is obligatorily linked to arthropod vectors, which act as intermediate hosts. Upon infection via the vector's bite, larvae migrate to the pleural or peritoneal cavities of the definitive host. Within these body cavities, the nematodes reach maturity and begin the reproductive phase of their life cycle.
