Megaloblatta is a genus of large insects belonging to the order Blattodea and the family Blaberidae. While these insects are primarily native to tropical ecosystems, their presence in proximity to agricultural environments can lead to the consumption of plant debris and direct damage to the succulent tissues of young, vulnerable crop plants.
