Uresiphita is a genus of moths belonging to the family Crambidae. These insects are recognized as significant agricultural pests that target a variety of herbaceous and woody plants, with a particular affinity for members of the Fabaceae (legume) family, causing substantial damage to foliage.
Systematically, this genus falls within the order Lepidoptera, family Crambidae. The species Uresiphita gilvata is the most frequently documented member, inhabiting diverse geographical regions where it can cause localized outbreaks if environmental conditions favor its rapid population growth.
